Most skincare brands start with a price point and work backward. Meria started with a different question.
The short answer: the money is in the first few lines of the ingredient list: three butters including Bornean illipe, olive squalane, bakuchiol and niacinamide — in a 4 oz jar, made in Charlevoix, Michigan. The whole formulation is published, in order, so the arithmetic is checkable rather than asserted.
